Award-winning author Clay Stafford has been writing for over two decades.  Most recently, he did a series of three adaptations of young adult classics for Dalmatian Press.  To date, over 355,000 hardcover copies have been sold, not only in the United States, but also in Canada, Germany, France, Japan, and the United Kingdom.  Most recently, these books were used as set dressing in the movie "Must Love Dogs" (2005) and have been translated into Polish and Russian.  His résumé includes numerous one-acts, short-shorts, skits, and even musicals for community theaters, traveling variety shows and professional touring companies.  Five of his full-length staged murder mysteries have been produced; four have had Los Angeles premieres.  In addition to being an author, he has reviewed books, plays, and films for Gannett newspapers and BookPage.  As an editor, he facilitated the release of several PBS companion books which accompanied national series.

Clay Stafford is an active member of The Authors Guild / The Authors League of America, Mystery Writers of America, and the Society of Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators.  He also served as Chairman of the Board for The Williamson County Council for the Written Word.

He has just completed his first mainstream novel, "Bringing Daddy Home."
