As a guest speaker and award-winning lecturer for national organizations, associations, and academic institutions, author and filmmaker Clay Stafford’s critically-acclaimed seminars on creativity, achievement, business, communication, literature, acting, and film—as well as his presentations as keynote speaker and master of ceremony—have been delivered live onstage to a total of more than one million people.

Clay Stafford’s speaking clients have included such diverse media and non-media groups as the United States Department of Defense, the Miami-International Press Club, the Financial Executives Institute, the Atlanta Workshop Players, and the Chongqing Acrobatic Troupe of China.

Workshops for which Clay Stafford has spoken have been sponsored by organizations such as Barnes & Noble, Writers Digest Books, Associated Writing Programs, and Romance Writers of America, to name a few.

Clay Stafford has a B.A. and M.F.A. and has been a professor, guest lecturer, or consultant to several universities including the University of Miami and the University of Tennessee.  During one of his engagements as an academic consultant, he co-designed Florida’s official two-year university film program at Miami-Dade, which is currently being used to train technical and creative personnel for Florida’s independent production companies and major film studios.

Even with the most academic of subjects, Clay Stafford believes that the best way to learn is by doing and he gets participants involved at the very start of his presentations either through innovative exercises or group participation.  And by consistently making each presentation personal, he keeps them involved throughout the entire program.

Clay Stafford does not prepare the same speech or workshop for every group, but caters directly to the attendee’s specific objectives.  Because he knows his subjects so well, he can elastically highlight issues specific to his listener’s needs making each presentation as diverse and individual as the audience he is addressing.
